Smart4Chemicals is seeking to recruit three Operations Managers for a global leader in the polymers and advanced materials sector.
There are three open Operations Manager roles available, split between the two sites. Each manager will focus on a different aspect of the business, with one role being more maintenance and production-focused, while the others will focus on engineering, lab, and CoGen operations. Relocation support is available, and we encourage applicants from across the United States with confirmed work authorization to apply.
As an Operations Manager, you will provide leadership and direction to ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-efficient operation of the facility. You will oversee the commissioning, startup, and optimization of cogeneration systems, while managing a skilled team to ensure the facility operates at maximum efficiency. You will also ensure compliance with all relevant contracts, regulations, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations to meet safety, environmental, and performance targets.
• Oversee the commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of cogeneration prime application engine-generators and associated equipment.
• Ensure compliance with environmental reporting, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Develop and manage the annual budget and operating plans for the facility.
• Provide technical guidance during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases to ensure smooth execution and safe operation.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts by implementing best practices in maintenance and operations.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching and training to meet operational and safety goals.
• Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, budget, and key issues.
Key Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Chemical Engineering).
• 5 years of supervisory experience in the operations and maintenance of power plants, particularly combined cycle or cogeneration facilities.
• Strong understanding of plant economics, budget management, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement efforts.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in emergency situations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with NERC and other regulatory reporting requirements.
• Ability to travel 25-50% domestically as required.
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
