Position Overview
Smart Water Treatment Technology (SWTT) USA is looking for a proactive, relationship-driven Sales Representative to lead both our commercial business development and our residential field sales. This is a part-time W-2 position offering a guaranteed 20 hours per week, with pay determined based on your experience and performance KPIs, heavily supplemented by an uncapped commission structure. The ideal candidate is self-reliant, self-motivated, and takes full ownership of their territory and results.
This role offers an agile workspace with the flexibility to work remotely or out of the office, combined with active local field work. The preferred service and coverage territory is concentrated near the Sanford, Florida area (Seminole County and surrounding districts). You will balance active territory prospecting for B2B accounts with high-performing field consultations for residential customers. No relocation assistance is offered for this role.
Key Responsibilities & Scope (Core 20 Hours)
1. Commercial B2B Prospecting & Account Management
Local Territory Canvas: Actively research and canvas local commercial districts to target decision-makers within our primary target verticals:
- Healthcare Facilities: Clinics, laboratories, and medical offices requiring specialized water systems.
- Manufacturing & Factories: Industrial facilities and processing plants requiring tailored water solutions.
- Hospitality: Hotels, resorts, restaurants, and entertainment venues requiring advanced filtration.
Outreach & Introduction: Approach facility managers and owners to introduce SWTT's advanced water treatment products and services.
Vendor & Estimating Coordination: Collaborate directly with equipment manufacturers and technology vendors to source component costs, configure solutions, and submit accurate customer quotes for commercial inquiries.
2. Residential Field Sales & Consultations
Inbound Lead Follow-Up: Manage and respond promptly to high-intent inbound inquiries and phone calls from local homeowners passed on by the company.
On-Site Assessments: Independently schedule and conduct on-site home visits to perform standard water quality testing.
Customer Consultations: Review testing data with the homeowner, explain their water quality challenges, and present appropriate, customized residential filtration options from the SWTT catalog to close the sale.
3. Operations & Administrative Reporting
Daily Reporting: Maintain accountability by preparing and submitting a brief daily progress report detailing client outreach metrics, appointment updates, and project coordination status.
Compensation & Financial Incentives
This role has no fixed base salary. Pay is determined based on your experience and performance KPIs, and heavily rewards closed business and strategic outreach with no earning ceilings:
- Commercial Contract Signings: Earn 1% Commission on the total contract/sales value for every finalized commercial, industrial, or facility account you secure.
- Residential Closed Sales: $100 Flat Fee commission per finalized residential equipment or service contract closed during your field hours.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Self-Reliant & Self-Motivated: Must be able to work independently with strong personal accountability, take full ownership of your territory and results, and stay motivated without close supervision.
- Territory Proximity: Heavily preferred candidate location is near the Sanford area to effectively service local residential and commercial accounts. No relocation is offered for this position.
- Driver's License & Driving Record: Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Proven Sales or Prospecting Experience: Experience in outside sales, territory management, lead generation, or account management—ideally within commercial plumbing, water systems, home appliances, or industrial equipment supply. Candidates with experience in the same field and a good track record of closed sales are preferred.
- Excellent Professional Presence: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to transition seamlessly from a corporate facility manager to a residential homeowner.
- Organizational & Estimating Skills: Strong time-management skills required to work independently, manage a daily report workflow, and coordinate technical details between vendors and clients.
- Territory Mobility: Must possess a reliable personal vehicle, valid Florida driver's license, and insurance to travel efficiently to customer properties and field territories.
- Legal: Must be authorized to work in the United States. Standard corporate payroll tax tracking (W-2) and compliant hour logging apply.
