Press Brake Operator

We are looking for a highly skilled and reliable Press Brake Operator with experience operating Bystronic press brakes to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating press brake machinery to bend and form sheet metal and other components with precision. This role requires strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of metal fabrication processes. Role will include but not limited to: machine operation, forklift activity (Loading & Unloading), grinding, break out, and general shop use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Bystronic CNC press brake machines according to job specifications and production schedules.
• Interpret and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Load materials and program or adjust Bystronic controls to ensure proper bends and angles.
• Use measurement tools (calipers, protractors, gauges) to verify part dimensions and quality.
• Perform first-article inspections and continuous quality checks during production runs.
• Maintain accurate production records and identify/report any defects or machine malfunctions.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist with minor maintenance and troubleshooting of Bystronic equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and efficiency.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Bystronic ByBend Smart, Xpert, or Xact series press brakes.
• Knowledge of bending allowances, tooling setups, and bend deduction calculations.
• Previous work in a lean manufacturing or ISO-certified environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
