Position Summary:
CAS is looking to hire a Civil Engineering Candidate having the ability to efficiently plan and organize their workload with their team, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic. Experience in water and wastewater treatment, distribution and collection are needed. Experience in stormwater design and management is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Candidate shall work on various aspects of civil engineering design,
plan preparation, permitting and construction oversight while working in a
project team environment.
- Planning, design, and construction management of infrastructure
projects focusing on water and wastewater projects but could include other
infrastructure projects. Projects may include the following: Wastewater
Conveyance and Pump Stations; Water Supply; Water Distribution and
Storage; Master planning services including hydraulic modeling, and more.
- Candidate would contribute to projects including collecting existing
utility data; performing modeling and simulation; site grading; water
distribution system; sanitary sewer collection system; drainage analysis;
roadway alignment; pavement marking; signage; and erosion control.
- Prepare project
design drawings utilizing AutoCAD and other design software is a plus.
- Develop project
specific detail drawings.
- Calculate
project construction quantity estimates.
- Preparation of technical
specifications, cost estimates, reports, schedules, and other related
tasks.
- Coordinate with
team members and client representatives.
- Periodic travel
to project sites for field investigation and or construction support.
- Project
outlines, project initiation, project schedules, project executions, and
project closeout.
- Interface with
multi-disciplinary design teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- E.I.T./F.E.
Certification is a must.
- Professional
Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Must be Authorized to Work in the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and the ability to
travel to job sites.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug testing.
- Fluent in English.
- 10 years of
relevant experience is preferred but less experienced candidates will be
considered.
- Experience on
utility, drainage, and roadway projects.
- Experience with
AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
- Excellent
technical writing skills.
- Strong client
relationship skills.
- Strong
organizational skills.
- Strong sense of
urgency, project responsibility and initiative.
- Ability to work
independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent
verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work
on several projects and assist in meeting deliverable requirements.
- Ability to read
and interpret plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Ability to
commute to construction sites (when necessary).
