Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automotive Mechanic role located in Godfrey, IL. The Automotive Mechanic will perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, filter replacements, and basic inspections. This role includes diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing repairs on engines, brakes, suspensions, steering, heating and cooling systems, and other components. The Automotive Mechanic will use diagnostic tools and repair manuals, document work performed, and ensure all services meet safety and quality standards. The individual will also communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about findings, repair options, and estimated timelines, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance, including routine inspections, fluid services, and preventive maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience in Automotive Repair and Maintenance & Repair across key systems (brakes, engine, suspension, electrical, HVAC).
- Solid understanding of Automotive systems, components, and diagnostic procedures.
- Commitment to Customer Satisfaction, with clear communication and a professional, service-oriented approach.
- Preferred: Automotive certification(s) such as ASE or manufacturer-specific training, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and digital diagnostic reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift parts and equipment, stand for extended periods, and safely operate shop tools and machinery.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
