As the #1 Buick-GMC volume dealership in the country, our service department is consistently busy, with a large and loyal customer base generating a steady flow of work. If you're looking for a shop where you'll never run our of hours, THIS IS IT. We offer flat-rate pay starting at $39/hr for Journeyman level technicians, increasing to $42/hr based on training and certification levels and $46/hr for GM World Class level technicians. On top of these hourly rates we also offer a significant efficiency bonus and a 1.5x warranty labor rate multiplier along with a flat rate guarantee of 40 hours a week. If you are just starting out as a Technician we also have a place for you and will help you reach GM World Class status if that's your goal.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
- Perform thorough diagnostic procedures to accurately identify vehicle concerns and recommend appropriate repairs
- Inspect vehicles in accordance with state emissions and safety requirements.
- Complete necessary repairs and perform test drives to verify vehicle performance and repair quality.
- Operate all automotive repair tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Participate in ongoing in-house training and skill development.
- Perform frequent physical tasks including walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and squatting.
- Lift and carry up to a minimum of 50 lbs as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 Years of service technician experience
- Ability to operate all auto repair tools
- Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment required
- Valid driver’s license
