Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage job costing, revenue recognition, and margin analysis for service operations
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, and interactions with external auditors and advisors
- Oversee sales and use tax, payroll tax, and other applicable filings
- Partner with operations and leadership to analyze costs, profitability, and performance
- Provide financial insights to support pricing, capital expenditures, and growth initiatives
- Support ERP and financial systems optimization and reporting enhancements
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
- Set clear expectations, performance goals, and accountability
- Foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility
- Prior experience in oil & gas services, energy services, or construction-related industries
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, job costing, and revenue recognition
- Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Excel
- CPA or CMA designation
- Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-location operations
- Strong understanding of field operations and cost drivers in oil & gas services
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial leaders
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities
