JOB DESCRIPTION
Core Responsibilities
- Understand business stakeholders’ priorities across digital products and communicate target delivery dates for requested changes.
- Coordinate with Actuarial and Data Science teams, report on their priorities, and identify support needed from those teams to align with business priorities. Translate work into business stories.
- Work with the engineering team and SEBI to understand critical IT stories and prioritize them against business priorities and delivery expectations.
- Ensure business requirements are fully defined and translated into user stories.
- Run backlog refinement sessions to ensure all stories are well-defined and ready to enter a sprint.
Sprint & Delivery Management
- Lead sprint planning by deciding which stories will be included at the start of each sprint and determining work prioritization.
- During the sprint, assess whether additional stories can be added based on capacity or whether work should be removed if new critical priorities emerge.
- Determine release scope for product releases.
- Create and distribute release notes and communicate release schedules and potential impacts to business stakeholders and clients.
- Sign off on releases before production deployment.
- Run sprint reviews to highlight and share accomplishments from the previous sprint.
- Facilitate sprint retrospectives for the team.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Attend client meetings to understand upcoming client needs and community changes. (This responsibility may shift more fully to business ownership rather than a contractor.)
- Support front-line teams in addressing client questions or issues related to systems or capabilities. (This responsibility may shift more fully to business ownership.)
- Manage client onboarding expectations and timelines for technical integrations.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders on delivery dates and work needed to support client onboarding. (This responsibility may align more closely with a Product Analyst role.)
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define the DUWME roadmap for the next 3–4 quarters and establish a well-defined plan.
Bridge-Side Responsibilities
- Understand business stakeholders’ priorities for key elements of the Bridge Portal and communicate target delivery dates for requested changes.
- Ensure business requirements are fully defined and translated into user stories.
- Run backlog refinement sessions to ensure stories are ready for sprint planning.
- Work with the engineering team to understand critical IT stories and prioritize them against business priorities and delivery expectations.
- Lead sprint planning and ongoing sprint prioritization decisions.
- Determine release scope and communicate release details to business stakeholders.
- Sign off on releases before production deployment.
- Establish a roadmap for capabilities to be onboarded and added over the next year.
- Facilitate and support intake into the Portfolio Steering Process and determine where initiatives fit within the Bridge Portal roadmap.
