What We're Looking For:
- Purchase materials for manufacturing and other business objectives. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the ideal candidate will be flexible, dynamic and resourceful.
What You'll Do:
- Organize material deliveries with the Transport Coordinator
- Assess purchasing requirements and develop specifications for equipment, material, and supplies to be purchased.
- Invite tenders, consult with suppliers, and review quotations, and negotiate pricing.
- Follow purchases with suppliers to deliveries according to the Production schedule.
- Analyze consumption to establish and monitor re-order points through MRP/ERP.
- Manage select material shortages.
- Resolve payment issues and audit POs/Invoices for discrepancies.
- Resolve issues with orders/materials as needed.
- Recommend industry best practices and drive continuous improvement.
- Create the plan for the required materials.

Education and Experience:
- Post-secondary education in related field. (Business, Supply Chain)
- 1 years of purchasing or related experience.
- Microsoft Dynamics Navision Business Central would be an asset
