Duties
- Supervise and engage children during playtime, learning activities, and mealtimes to promote social skills and independence
- Implement age-appropriate educational programs that support childhood development milestones
- Ensure the safety of all children by maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and basic health needs in accordance with safety protocols
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care when necessary
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to handle multiple children simultaneously
- Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and patience
- Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently and maintain confidentiality regarding children's information
