Responsibilities
- Safely handle and restrain dogs during daily activities, and grooming.
- Monitor pets’ behavior to ensure a safe and stress-free environment for all animals in our care
- Assist with dog training exercises to promote good behavior and socialization skills with temperament testing.
- Provide pet grooming services such as bathing, brushing, and basic trimming to keep animals clean and comfortable
- Support grooming staff with animal restraint during nail trims or grooming.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and grooming stations to uphold hygiene standards
- Offer exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and well-being
- Assist with pet sitting duties when required, ensuring pets are engaged, exercised, and cared for throughout the day
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with larger animals safely
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with animals in a kennel, veterinary clinic, or pet care setting is required.
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling best practices.
- Skills in pet grooming, pet sitting, and animal restraint are desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work physically demanding shifts
- Passion for animal care combined with a positive attitude and energetic approach.
