Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has an interest in rocks, minerals, or geology, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greet and assist customers with a positive and welcoming attitude
· Provide product knowledge and help customers select items
· Handle credit card and cash transactions accurately
· Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual displays
· Restock merchandise and monitor inventory levels
· Answer customer questions about rocks, minerals, and related products (training provided)
· Handle high customer volume during peak tourist seasons
· Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment
Qualifications:
· Previous retail or customer service experience preferred (but not required)
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy setting
· Interest in geology, crystals, or nature is a plus
· Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 lbs
