Small Biz Heroes is growing, and we're looking for motivated, relationship-driven individuals to help us connect more business owners with the funding they need.

As a Business Development Associate, you'll generate new business through outbound prospecting, referral partnerships, and inbound leads. You'll work directly with business owners to understand their financing needs, complete applications, and move qualified opportunities through our sales process.

This role is for someone who enjoys talking to people, takes initiative, and understands that consistent activity and follow-through create results. You'll have the opportunity to build your own book of relationships, earn uncapped commissions, and grow your career in the business funding industry.

• Generate new business through outbound calls, social media, networking, and referrals.
• Build and manage relationships with referral partners who introduce business owners seeking financing.
• Respond to inbound leads, identify financing needs, and complete funding applications with clients.
• Qualify opportunities and coordinate next steps with Senior Funding Managers.
• Follow up consistently with prospects, clients, and referral partners to move opportunities forward.
• Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and client information in Salesforce.
• Meet individual activity, application, and revenue production goals.

• Strong communication skills and the confidence to initiate conversations with business owners.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach to generating new business.
• The ability to build relationships, earn trust, and follow through on commitments.
• Comfort with outbound calling, prospecting, and working toward performance goals.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
• Coachability, resilience, and a willingness to learn.
• Previous sales, business development, or customer-facing experience preferred.

Business funding experience is not required. We'll provide training on our products, processes, and sales approach.
