SENIOR ACCOUNTANT, SMAC ENTERTAINMENT
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions. This is a hands-on role that requires both strategic insight and day-to-day execution. You will oversee bookkeeping, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and financial analysis, while also partnering with leadership to support decision-making and business growth. This is an in-office role at least 4 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Develop and maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting policies/procedures
- Monitor cash flow and assist with forecasting and budgeting
- Oversee tax filings, annual audits, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Partner with leadership to provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations
- Implement and maintain accounting systems, tools, and internal controls
- Manage vendor and client billing, collections, and expense reporting
- Support financial planning for company growth, including scenario modeling and cost analysis
- Serve as the main point of contact for external accountants, auditors, and financial advisors
- Manage PEO and benefits along with COO
- Review and manage P-Card and T&E process and transactions
- Assist with special projects as assigned by the COO
- Collaborate with department leads on pipeline management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience; small business or startup experience a plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with payroll, tax compliance, and full-cycle accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks NetSuite or Similar) and Excel
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and wear multiple hats in a small company environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with non-financial colleagues
