Sly Clyde Ciderworks has a resort-based taproom in Williamsburg, Virginia - Sly Clyde Poolside. The taproom and poolside bar are at a family resort. The food is served as counter service and so there is no waiting on customers at tables.
We are looking for bar staff to provide exceptional customer service, educate our patrons about cider, and keep the facilities in tip-top shape. Our award-winning team of cider makers is crafting delicious hard ciders that need the support of an equally effervescent team of barkeepers. We also sell beers, wine and soft drinks, as well as a full menu for visitors to the colonial capital.
Responsibilities
· Pour pints, tasting flights, fill growlers, sell merchandise
· Operate Point of Sale system for food & beverage orders
· Provide exceptional and patient customer service
· Be a part of a team atmosphere and help create a unique experience for resort guests
· Educate customers about craft cider and Virginia tourism
· Cleaning in preparation for opening and closing
· Till count and reconciliation at the end of the day
· Keep the taproom and poolside bar orderly at all times
· Change kegs and keep the inventory organized
Schedule
· We are open for the season and we are looking for people for day shifts and evening shifts. We are a family business and will work with you on scheduling
· Will be required to work weekends as the schedule needs but our biggest needs are week days
Required Experience and Skills
· Knowledge of and passion for craft beverages, particularly hard cider and beer
· Experience in hospitality: bartender, barista, waiter, etc. We fast track former Starbucks experience
· Personality, patience, and desire to connect with customers is an absolute need. This is not a fast food position and you will need to think of yourself as a local hospitality ambassador
· At least 21-yrs.
Compensation
· Hourly rate plus Tips
