Damon & Company is a family restaurant in Gloucester, VA that opened in 1991. We offer a restaurant, bar area and outside seating for our customers. We also offer live music, cornhole, and many fundraising events throughout the year.
## Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Bartender and Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry and delivering exceptional customer service. If you have experience in bartending and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Must be able to work nights and weekends.
## Duties
- Prepare and serve beverages to customers following standard recipes
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and adhere to all food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Assist in restocking bar inventory and supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service
## Requirements
- Previous experience in bartending/serving or a related role is preferred
- Knowledge of basic math for handling transactions
- Familiarity with food handling and safety procedures
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in catering, banquets, or brewing is a plus
