SCHEDULING
- Creating accounts and verify demographic/ adding and editing when needed
- Taking phone calls and walk ins for scheduling
- Creating cases for therapy NextGen
- Appropriately documenting in patient EHR
- Verify orders and schedule with appropriate therapist
- Forward medical concern to the appropriate department
- Making and taking phone calls
- Checking voicemails
- Monitoring therapist schedules
- Notify appropriate staff to obtain authorization
- Various reports and clerical duties
- Verifying covered benefits for select insurances
- Working with scheduling department to coordinate care
RECEPTION
- Greet patient upon arrival to therapy
- Verify all demographics and edit as needed
- Obtain all required signatures and paperwork upon arrival
- Enter new insurance
- Copy insurance card to be scanned into patients records
- Obtain all required signatures and paperwork upon arrival
- Various reports and clerical duties
- Collecting co pays and payment on account
- Making and taking phone calls
- Checking voicemails and returning calls
- Notifying appropriate staff upon patient arrival
- Entering prior authorizations
- Condition for upcoming appointments
This position requires experience working with patient scheduling and/or reception in a medical office environment. Therapy experience preferred.
This position is responsible for clerical support to the Therapy department at Slocum, including reception and scheduling functions. This is a patient facing role in the therapy department. This is a full time position that qualifies for benefits.
