General Laborer - Landscape

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic General Laborer specializing in Landscape to join our dynamic outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting a variety of landscaping projects, ensuring the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor spaces. Your hands-on skills and passion for outdoor work will contribute to creating beautiful, functional landscapes that meet client expectations. Duties

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including wall building, patio paver installation, hardscape construction, as well as trimming, planting, and pruning to keep outdoor spaces healthy and attractive
• Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as power tools and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
• Support landscape installation projects by preparing soil, planting trees and shrubs, and installing hardscape features like pathways or retaining walls
• Perform routine grounds upkeep including debris removal, edging, fertilizing, etc. following safety protocols
• Use hand tools and specialized equipment to perform excavation, digging, or soil conditioning as needed for landscaping projects
• Identify various plants and trees to ensure proper care and maintenance; assist with plant health assessments
• Follow all safety procedures diligently to maintain a secure work environment during outdoor activities and equipment operation

Experience

• Previous outdoor work experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related fields is highly preferred
• Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques such as edging, pruning, and planting
• Knowledge of landscape construction including hardscape installation and irrigation system setup is a plus
• Experience operating power tools, hand tools, and grounds equipment such as excavators is desirable
• Understanding of horticulture principles including plant identification
• Ability to adhere to safety protocols consistently while working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Construction experience or background in tree care, gardening, or groundskeeping will be considered advantageous
