Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment including lawn mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools safely and efficiently
- Identify plants, trees, shrubs, and pests to support proper horticulture practices and pest management strategies
- Support irrigation system installation, repair, and adjustments to ensure optimal watering schedules
- Perform snow plowing and winter maintenance duties during seasonal changes to keep pathways clear and safe
- Maintain safety protocols by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established safety procedures during all activities
- Support landscape construction projects such as tree trimming, hardscape installation, or grounds improvement efforts as needed
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience or landscaping background preferred but not required; willingness to learn is highly valued
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, and irrigation systems is a plus
- Ability to identify various plants and pests with confidence to support plant health management
- Familiarity with pesticide management practices following safety guidelines
- Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence when operating machinery or working with hazardous materials
- Excellent physical stamina for lifting, bending, digging, and performing manual labor over extended periods
- Valid driver’s license preferred for operating equipment or transporting materials
