Position Specifics:
Department: Sales
Reports To: Store Manager
FSLA Code: Exempt
Purpose:
Sells new and used agricultural and turf equipment to new and existing customers. This position will require relevant experience in sales or an agriculture related field and is not an entry level position.
Responsibilities:
- Represents the company for the sale of machinery (agricultural, lawn and garden) to customers
- Keep track of equipment inventory and keep a constant awareness of the products available for sale
- Know and use company provided systems and tools to follow a defined sales process
- Work closely with Parts and Service Departments to provide customers solutions and develop long term relationships
- Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
- Develop an awareness for competitive activity and products as well as business and industry trends
- Develop lasting relationships with customers to better understand their business activities
- Achieve and maintain a strong knowledge of used equipment markets and values to properly evaluate trades
- Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
- Effectively communicate with management as needed in relation to competitive activities and products as well as customers business activities
- Attends and participate in applicable sales training events, seminars, and classes
- Delivers sold equipment to customers
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 1 years equipment sales experience or agriculture related field required, this is not an entry level position
- Must have a valid driver’s license and in good standing
- Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment
- Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Ability to work flexible hours and to work on your own
- Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
- A drive to meet and talk to new people
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

In Season Hours : Monday-Friday 7am-5pm , Saturday 7am-12pm (rotation)
Off Season/Winter Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm
