What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator position at SLLC?
We are seeking a motivated Utility Technician I to join our manufacturing team in Hartford, CT. In this role, you will operate production equipment, manufacture and package floor coating products, and support daily production activities while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain production equipment used in the manufacturing and packaging of floor coating materials.
- Follow production schedules and accurately process batch tickets.
- Operate production mixers to manufacture product batches according to specifications.
- Package and produce materials across multiple production departments.
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety regulations while actively participating in workplace safety programs.
- Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with other production-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1–3 years of manufacturing, production, machine operation, or utility technician experience.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
- Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating industrial mixers or manufacturing equipment.
- Experience following batch tickets, work orders, or production schedules.
- Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift materials and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around machinery, dust, noise, and chemical products.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Pay: $17.00 - $18.70 per hour
