Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Line Cook who can perform at a high level in a fast-paced, fine dining kitchen. This role is responsible for precise execution, station readiness, food quality, cleanliness, and teamwork throughout service.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and cook menu items with consistency, urgency, and attention to detail.
- Execute dishes according to Slip 53’s recipes, plating standards, and quality expectations.
- Set up, stock, and maintain your station before, during, and after service.
- Assist with prep work, ingredient organization, labeling, dating, and rotation.
- Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.
- Communicate clearly with chefs and team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Support ticket flow during high-volume service while maintaining quality and timing.
- Thoroughly clean the kitchen and all stations at the end of each shift.
- Adhere to all South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA) regulations, food safety standards, and operational guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous line cook experience required; upscale or fine dining kitchen experience is a plus, but we are willing to train!
- Strong sense of urgency, organization, and professionalism.
- Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure.
- Commitment to consistency, cleanliness, and teamwork.
- Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift kitchen supplies, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $17.50 - $22.50 per hour
