The Quality Control Inspector I performs receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensureproducts meet quality standards and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced medical devicemanufacturing environment.We're looking for someone whoHas 3–7 years of industry experience (Level 2) or 7–10 years of industry experience (Level3)Has medical device experience and a strong working knowledge of Quality SystemRegulations (QSR)Has experience working in a fast-paced electro-mechanical manufacturing environmentDemonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and documentationHas strong written and verbal communication skills and works well as a team playerHas experience reading engineering drawings and interpreting geometric dimensioningand tolerancing (GD&T)Is proficient using standard metrology equipment and inspection toolsHas experience programming Zeiss CMM and Keyence Vision Metrology Systems(preferred)Has completed college coursework or holds a degree in a related field (preferred)What you'll doPerform receiving inspection of components using procedures, specifications, andengineering drawingsUtilize metrology equipment including optical comparator, height gauges, Zeiss CMM,Keyence VMS, calipers, micrometers, surface tables, gauge blocks, pin gauges, dialindicators, measuring microscopes, hardness testers, pull force testers, and surfaceroughness testersReview associated documentation, complete inspection records using good documentationpractices, and release componentsProgram and run automatic inspection routines on Zeiss CMM and Keyence systemsInspect machined parts, injection molded components, PCBs, and off-the-shelfcomponentsPerform line clearance activities and inspect/release labeling during in-process inspectionsReview device history records for lot release and ensure all quality records meetdocumentation standardsConduct in-process inspections and testing on components and assembliesPerform final inspection and testing of finished goods prior to releaseSupport engineering with the design of inspection and metrology fixturesAssist with equipment and process validation by inspecting process outputsExecute Gage R&R activitiesMaintain daily quality records in alignment with internal procedures and quality systemrequirementsSupport additional projects as assigned by the supervisorPhysical requirementsMust be able to stand for extended periods on the manufacturing floorMust be able to use hands for fine measurement and inspection tasksMust be able to occasionally lift up to 25lbsMust be comfortable working in a manufacturing and cleanroom environmentCompany DescriptionSlingShot Connections provides contract staffing, direct hire placement, executive search recruitment, payroll services, and customized staffing solutions for numerous verticals, including accounting & finance, hospitality, human resources, and many more.
