The Director of Operations leads multi-region harvesting and production operations, driving operational excellence, profitability, compliance, and high-quality product delivery.
We're looking for someone who
● Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
● Has 10 years of experience in agricultural or produce operations, with multi-region harvesting experience strongly preferred
● Has proven success leading large teams in fast-paced, seasonal workforce environments
● Demonstrates strong P&L management experience and financial acumen
● Has experience managing KPIs related to labor efficiency, yield, cost per acre, equipment utilization, and productivity
● Has deep knowledge of H-2A regulatory requirements and labor compliance
● Is familiar with FMCSA and DOT regulations related to transportation and driver safety
● Has experience ensuring compliance with food safety standards such as GAP, GFSI, and customer requirements
● Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
● Is customer-focused with strong relationship-building capabilities
● Thinks strategically while driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement
● Is adaptable, proactive, and able to operate with a strong sense of urgency
● Is able and willing to travel frequently between growing regions
What you'll do
● Oversee daily harvesting and production operations across multiple growing regions
● Develop and implement operational standards, SOPs, and best practices
● Coordinate closely with growing, cooling, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations
● Manage production schedules to meet seasonal demand and customer requirements
● Serve as the primary operations liaison for key customers and partners
● Ensure timely harvesting and delivery aligned with quality and service expectations
● Own full P&L accountability for the harvesting division
● Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost-control initiatives
● Drive operational improvements to increase profitability while maintaining high product quality
● Oversee equipment, vehicles, and field technology utilization and capital planning
● Ensure compliance with H-2A program requirements, labor laws, food safety standards, and environmental regulations
● Lead safety programs to reduce incidents and promote best practices
● Foster leadership development and team engagement across regions
Salary : $180,000 - $225,000
