Assistant General Manager

We are currently hiring for an experienced and driven full-time Assistant General Manager to help lead our upcoming Slim Chickens restaurant in Grimes, IA! Whether through customer service or administrative duties, this position is vital to the overall operational success of this location.

Our Grimes location is not scheduled to open until late 2022 / early 2023. Until then, this position will work out of our Slim Chickens in Ankeny, IA.

PAY

This full-time position works 45/hours per week, including evenings and weekends, and may earn $51,000 to $62,000 per year base salary plus a monthly bonus.

JOB DUTIES

As our Assistant GM, you impact all daily operations, and your skills are critical to the success of your restaurant and team. You will work right alongside the GM of the restaurant, acting as their right-hand person. We are looking for Assistant GMs who:

Run superb restaurant operations

• You serve our guests quality food according to brand standards
• Your restaurant is clean and organized
• Your restaurant is well-staffed
• You manage labor and food cost within provided budget guidelines

Develop a team

• You provide your team with clear expectations, a path to success, and appreciation for their efforts
• You recruit, interview, hire, and train new hires
• You teach your team how to take great care of our guests

Manage administrative duties successfully

• Scheduling
• Supply ordering
• Inventory management
• New hire paperwork

REQUIREMENTS FOR AN ASSISTANT GM

• 2 or more years' fast casual restaurant experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Leadership experience
• Excellent customer service
• Proven track-record of developing a team
