The Business Development & Operations Manager is a senior executive responsible for overseeing all daily business operations and administration for Slim & Husky’s and other Soon Hospitality concepts. This role partners directly with the Director of Operations and CEO and collaborates with all members of the leadership team to drive operational excellence, develop strategic growth initiatives, and cultivate emerging talent within the organization.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively manage restaurant operations, execute strategic initiatives, and identify new opportunities to expand Soon Hospitality’s footprint across various industries and venues.
Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee all aspects of daily business operations for Slim & Husky’s, ensuring alignment with company goals and performance standards.
- Serve as acting General Manager for the North Nashville location to improve operational efficiencies, optimize team performance, and build leadership capability.
- Develop and implement a 90-day operational plan for the Buchanan Street location focused on growth, structure, and execution.
- Review store sales and operational data to design and implement strategies, procedures, and business plans that drive profitability and brand consistency.
- Conduct employee performance reviews, coaching sessions, and administer corrective action plans where necessary.
- Identify, recruit, train, and develop rising talent within the company to strengthen internal leadership pipelines.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the operations across all Soon Hospitality brands and concepts.
- Improve profitability by strategically managing product costs, labor expenses, and staffing plans.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to create and manage budgets, forecasts, and operational goals.
- Execute special projects and initiatives in partnership with the Director of Operations and CEO.
Business Development
- Build and maintain partnerships with food service contracting companies to secure new business opportunities with institutions and organizations that utilize contract services.
- Identify and pursue expansion opportunities across multiple markets, including but not limited to: Colleges and Universities, Retail Developments, Airports, Major Event Venues, and Transportation Hubs
- Support proposal development, presentations, and contract negotiations in collaboration with the executive team.
- Represent Soon Hospitality at relevant industry events, networking opportunities, and community engagements to expand brand presence.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Business, Hospitality Management, or related field).
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in restaurant management
- Proven success in multi-location operations management, leadership development, and business growth.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $82,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
