Position Summary:
The Roll Thread Setup Operator will set-up/operate various types of roll thread machines. The person will guide and train the roll thread operator. Requires the ability to troubleshoot and keep machines running smoothly. Must possess and demonstrate the skills necessary to maintain production requirements and quality standards. It is required to maintain a clean and safe working area. First shift hours are 6 am to 4:30 pm. If needed to meet production, Fridays are overtime days.
Essential Job Functions:
- Setup and operate a variety of roll thread machines to produce quality parts.
- Installs and adjusts threading die, timing, rails and feeder bowl.
- Line inspection using inspection tools to ensure minimum scrap and keep accurate piece counts.
- Ability to be flexible with switching workstations for work variation.
- Follow all quality standards, work instructions and procedures.
- Mechanical ability to troubleshoot machinery and quality issues.
- Guide and train the roll thread operator.
- Ability to work 10 hours shifts.
- Occasional lifting to 30 lbs/over 30 lbs use buddy system.
- Standing, sitting, and twisting regularly.
- Keep area cleaned and mopped on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ experience using roll thread machines.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as a Team.
- High attention to detail while being able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Reliable and dependable work history.
Experience:
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Previous problem solving and trouble shooting skills/experience.
- ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning: I year.
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
