Primary Purpose
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in mathematics and science designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills necessary to function successfully in society and meet Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) expectations.
Qualifications
Education/Certification

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with appropriate elementary certification
Special Knowledge/Skills

Knowledge of elementary mathematics and science curriculum and instruction

Ability to implement TEKS-based lessons

Strong classroom management and organizational skills

Ability to analyze and use student data to drive instruction

Experience

Student teaching or classroom teaching experience preferred

Instructional Strategies

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum and TEKS standards for math and science.

Differentiate instruction to support students at varying academic levels.
