What You Will Be Doing
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and subject matter experts to elicit and analyze functional requirements through interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable deliverables such as user stories, process flows, and well-defined acceptance criteria that are easily understood by all stakeholders.
- Serve as a key liaison between business and technical teams to ensure shared understanding and successful solution delivery.
- Partner with development teams and SMEs to design and implement technical solutions that align with strategic business objectives.
- Evaluate existing business processes and system data to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement or automation.
- Conduct impact assessments and provide detailed analysis to support solution trade-offs and inform decision-making on the optimal path forward.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and sprints, offering ongoing clarification and context to ensure alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks/issues that could impact release or project objectives.
- Contribute to product demos and prepare comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, including test scenarios and cases. Coordinate testing efforts to ensure timely completion and resolution of identified issues.
- Collaborate with developers to analyze and resolve production support issues, document findings, and provide timely responses to inquiries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Licensing:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, MIS or related field, or High School diploma and equivalent relevant work experience required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or similar role required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in P&C insurance required.
- Knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology.
- Working knowledge of product development architecture.
- Proficiency in the use of analytic tools.
- Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles.
- Passion for nurturing ideas and solutions to deliver exceptional customer experiences and outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to think critically and objectively.
- Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
