Hotel front desk and Choice hotel experience preferred

Applicants must have their own reliable transportation to work as well as necessary daycare
Job Purpose
The Front Desk Agent is typically the first and last point of contact for our guests. Ensuring that our guests have a positive experience from the start of their stay to the end is the number one priority. Our agents are required to be friendly and polite and address guest's needs during their stay with us. Agents welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner, recognizing valued Choice Privileges Rewards Club Members.
Job Type: Part Time/Full Time 24-30 hours/week
$13.75/hr to start
Responsibilities and Duties
· Welcome guests with friendly greeting and smile and perform all guest related services such as wake up and courtesy calls, handling concerns, complaints, and requests, provide location information and/or directions, and keeps the lobby and common areas clean and orderly.
· Handle reservation requests; check guests in/out; resolve any disputed charges and handle cashier functions.
· Make, change and monitor reservations; review and report rate availability using the front desk computer system
· Perform daily cash count; and complete Shift Checklist
· Work with housekeeping to communicate checkouts, stay-overs, sleepers, skips, rooms cleaned and rooms in need of maintenance.
· Assist in coordinating special events (i.e. holiday gatherings, bus tours, on site, etc.).
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
-Previous front desk experience in choice hotel and knowledge of choice advantage highly desired.
· Agents must be able to work and stay on task independently.
· 1-3 years in a previous customer service position required.
· Must have basic office skills (i.e. math, cash handling, computer skills, timekeeping, etc.).
· Must maintain professional appearance in Sleep Inn provided uniform with consistently friendly attitude towards guests and staff.
· Must be able to easily and frequently change from one task to another while operating a computer and/or switchboard and work with minimal supervision.
· Must be available to work nights, weekend and/or holidays.
