Housekeeper

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Must be friendly, helpful, and well-groomed and dressed to standards complete with name tag always as stated in the employee handbook and Sleep Inn & Suites-Oak Grove, KY standards.

• Keeps a positive attitude always and greets guests with a smile at every point of contact.

• Follows all safety guidelines.

• Uses proper chemical handling procedures to include assurance of appropriate label on every chemical dispenser.

• Responsible for cleaning bathtub, toilet, sink(s), walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, AC filters, ledges, ceilings, and floor surfaces using mops, sponges, brushes and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.

• Responsible for stripping and making beds, changing bed linens which may require lifting linen and terry weighing up to 40 lbs.

• Responsible for dusting all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges and shelves thoroughly.

• Responsible for replenishing amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.

• Responsible for pushing and pulling vacuum throughout entire room and corridors and emptying trash.

• Visually inspecting room for cleanliness and appearance that signifies completion of room cleanliness, organization, and a pristine guest ready appearance.

• Must respond in a timely manner to guest requests for items such as an iron, safety instructions, assistance, direction and/or other information and/or supply requests.

ROOM ATTENDANT

• Must report all suspicious people's activities or hazardous conditions to manager on duty and or front desk – immediately.

• Must tag, bag, and deliver all found items in the employee working area to the front desk. Extreme attention to all valuable articles or items with immediate notification of found item to the daily Manager on Duty and/or the General Manager.

• Responsible for ensuring that quality standards and service are maintained for Property, Product and People.

• Responsible for ensuring that quality standards are met for Mater expectations.

• Responsible for developing a critical eye for detail and perfection.

• Responsible for security of guest room and its contents.

• Responsible for follow up with guest complaints and requests.

• Responsible for following instructions and performing work as assigned by a supervisor or manager.

• Responsible for cleanliness and immaculate organization of housekeeping, cleaning cart and assigned storeroom.

• Must have basic knowledge of sanitation requirements / controls and applications of all chemicals.

• Must have knowledge of Sleep Inn & Suites-Oak Grove, KY, and H&N Hospitality Management policies applicable to housekeeping, especially those relating to lost and found, safety and security of guest and hotel property.

• Must have the ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop and move continuously throughout the entire shift to clean all assigned rooms.

• Must be able to lift and carry boxes and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 4 hours in length.

• This position requires sitting, bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, reaching and visual acuity.

• Responsible for knowledge, review and training of all safety procedures as outlined in the Sleep Inn & Suites-Oak Grove, KY safety manual.

• Must take breaks in the designated areas along with waiting for a ride at the end of your shift. The designated areas are the Employee break room & out-side at the back of the hotel.

• Must not stand congregating with other employees unless during meetings, including but not limited to standing at the front desk.

• Must not sit waiting in business areas for transportation after completion of shift.

• Adhere to the designated 28-30 minute per room cleaning guideline. This will be reviewed daily after completion of each shift and/or in the morning huddle.
