Job Summary
Houseperson is responsible primarily for the cleanliness and arrangement of common areas in the hotel. They will also assist the maintenance person with issues that may require two people.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities and job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Cleans common areas and guest areas. Anything that our guest will see is to be cleaned.
Utilizes chemicals according to directions and familiarizes self with all material safety data sheets.
Reports hazardous conditions in work area or equipment to supervisor.
Reports maintenance issues.
Documents and secures lost and found items.
Communicates with guests in a professional and friendly manner.
Conserves energy by closing shades and draperies; turning down air conditioning and heat of unoccupied rooms.
Participates fully in Green Initiative, our company-wide environmental sustainability initiative, which includes, but is not limited to, recycling, waste reduction, and energy and water conservation.
Qualifications and Skills
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekends. Shifts begin at 9am and end when all assignments are completed for the day. Must have a previous stable work history and reliable transportation.
