Laundry Attendant

Duties

• Operate laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and specialty cleaning equipment to process linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing with precision and care.
• Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal results.
• Perform dry cleaning tasks for delicate or specialized garments using appropriate solvents and techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly sanitizing machines, folding stations, and storage spaces.
• Monitor inventory levels of linens and supplies; notify management when stock needs replenishing.
• Follow safety protocols for handling chemicals and operating machinery to prevent accidents or damage.
• Assist with other housekeeping or cleaning duties as needed to support overall hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of laundry procedures including washing, drying, folding, and dry cleaning techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads comfortably.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety procedures related to laundry operations.
