Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a spotless environment.
• Handle various cleaning tasks such as mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing amenities with precision and care.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuums, floor buffers, and chemical sprayers.
• Use proper handling techniques for heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture or supplies to prevent injury.
• Follow safety protocols by understanding and adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation by applying proper cleaning techniques and using appropriate chemical agents while ensuring compliance with hotel emergency procedures.
• Assist with public area upkeep such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other communal spaces to uphold the hotel’s cleanliness standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping needs.
• Document completed tasks accurately in logs or reports as required by hotel housekeeping management.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques and floor care equipment operation.
• Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely and effectively while following safety data sheets (SDS).
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards ensures readiness for any situation.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, manual handling, and repetitive tasks.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members.
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidates committed to excellence in hospitality.

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
