About the Role
The role involves IBM DB2 Database Administrator initiatives, managing teams, and ensuring the successful execution for large-scale enterprise systems for one of our prestigious client.
***The Candidate shall meet the qualifications below:
1. A minimum of five (5) years of experience as Database Administrator in an IBM DB2 mainframe environment. Database Administration experience in other relational database management systems may be substituted for some of the required experience. At least three (3)
years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.
2. A minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting database-related activities in system modernization, data migration, or data conversion efforts, including data mapping, transformation, and validation between legacy and target systems.
3. A minimum of five (5) years of experience with data conversion between mainframe and distributed/cloud platforms (e.g., APIs, ETL tools, messaging such as IBM MQ, or data platforms such as Snowflake).
4.*Possession of a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or Engineering field. Additional experience may be substituted for required education.
5. Eight (8) or more years of experience as Database Administrator in a DB2 Database Administrator environment using IBM DB2. At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.
6. Eight (8) or more years' experience in z/OS operating system, ISPF, SCL, COBOL, CICS and related mainframe technologies.
7. Eight (8) or more years' experience with IBM Db2 Administration Tools, Data Facility Studio, Query Management,WebSphere/Workstation, InfoSphere Data Replication, Query Monitor,
Db2 Connect, BMC LogMaster, Computer Associates, Omegamon.
8. Eight (8) or more years' experience with z/OS Utilities, SQL Programming and Query Optimization, Db2 Stored Procedures, Db2 Connect and Db2 Client installations and configuration.
9.*Possession of a master's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
