The Grants Manager for the Office of External Affairs earns a competitive wage of $71,682.31 - $91,394.94 yearly salary based on qualifications. Additionally, the city pays all premiums for our employees' dental, long-term disability protection, and life insurance, plus the majority portion of the medical premium for employees and their dependents. We also offer a retirement plan through the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) with a 2:1 employer match, life insurance, disability, access to the city's recreation fitness center, employee assistance program, educational assistance, 11 paid holidays and 2 designated paid holidays, paid vacation, sick leave, and an active wellness program focusing on physical, mental, and financial health.

What Will You Do
- Manage the full lifecycle of Community Development Block Grant (CBDG), FEMA, HUD, General Land Office (GLO), Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM), and other major grant programs.
- Track expenditures, budgets, and compliance with all regulations
- Oversee subrecipient performance, documentation, and reporting
- Partner with departments city-wide to turn funding into results for the community.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready grant records
- 3-5 years of municipal or governmental grant experience
- Strong experience with federal and state grant systems
- Skills in program management, grant reporting, accounting, and compliance
- Ability to collaborate, influence, and communicate across teams
