Job Summary
The purpose of this class within the organization is to perform various duties at an assigned athletic fields and facility, to maintain the property, and to interact with and answer questions for its patrons.
This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
Essential Functions
- Monitors the activities of contracted, independent instructors, officials, rentals, and volunteers.
- Provides assistant and information to participants, spectators, umpires, and citizens regarding recreation programs and parks.
- Ensures that the restroom and fields remain clean, including the removal of trash during events.
- Ensures that the fields are striped and ready for contracted use.
- Logs daily visitation and monitor access to the fields.
- Evaluates participant needs and interest and makes recommendations; responds to customer and public inquiries, concerns and complaints.
- Cleans and maintains facilities when necessary. Locks and secures building, recreation areas including fields at the end of the day.
- Prepares for events by assisting in event set-up; participates in event tear down.
- Patrols facilities to detect damage to facilities and report damages to appropriate authority.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
- Requires three (3) months recreation or closely related experience.
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- First Aid
- CPR
