Our Cambridge based biotech client is seeking a Research Associate to support R&D experiments involving human iPSCs and prototype cell culture systems. This role is hands‑on and central to advancing their cell manufacturing platform.
Responsibilities
- Execute R&D cell culture experiments, including seeding, feeding, harvesting, passaging, counting, and time‑lapse imaging
- Perform basic quantitative data analysis (growth curves, attachment efficiency)
- Maintain and expand human iPSC cultures using established protocols
- Work across both manual and automated experimental workflows
- Document all experimental work in an electronic lab notebook
- Supporting iPSC reprogramming workflows and primary cell expansion
- Assisting in the development of new reprogramming methods
- Summarizing and presenting results to the broader R&D team
- Degree in biological/biomedical engineering, biology, or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience
- Experience with mammalian cell culture, specifically hPSCs/iPSCs
- Ability to adapt to prototype equipment and evolving workflows
- Basic data analysis skills (Excel, Prism, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail, reproducibility, and documentation
- Familiarity with Python is a plus
- Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative R&D environment
- Experience with immunofluorescence, microscopy, or flow cytometry
- Prior exposure to iPSC reprogramming or gene delivery methods
- Experience with laboratory automation systems
