The Senior Research Associate will support the Biologics Pivotal & Commercial Cell Culture Process Development team by executing laboratory experiments for biologics programs in pivotal stages (Phase II/III) and commercial development. This role focuses on process optimization, characterization, and supporting scale-up activities to ensure robust and efficient manufacturing processes.

- Plan and execute laboratory experiments to optimize and characterize cell culture processes during pivotal development phases
- Support development of cell culture platforms and contribute to pilot plant operations as required
- Maintain a modern cell culture laboratory, including equipment upkeep and inventory/consumables management
- Ensure accurate, high-quality, and timely documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs)
- Collect, analyze, and visualize experimental data to support decision-making
- Present findings, interpret results, and draw meaningful scientific conclusions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of lab operations, equipment maintenance, and data handling practices
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, training requirements, and departmental budget guidelines
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 0 years of experience in:
- Bioengineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Biochemical Engineering or related field
- Hands-on experience with:
- Shake flask cultures
- High-throughput bioreactors
- Bench-scale bioreactors
- Pilot-scale cell culture systems
- Strong communication, technical writing, and presentation skills
- Proven problem-solving ability with a creative and analytical mindset
- Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Working knowledge of:
- Laboratory automation
- Data management and data science tools
- Knowledge management systems
- Data protection best practices
- Experience in biologics process development in late-stage (Phase II/III or commercial) programs
- Familiarity with GMP or regulated environments
