Slane Co. is partnering with a well-established leader in the construction and heavy equipment industry to identify a Vice President of Marketing who will provide executive leadership across enterprise marketing strategy, brand, customer engagement, and growth.
This is a highly visible leadership role for a strategic, forward-thinking marketing executive who can establish a long-term vision for the marketing function and translate that vision into clear, executable priorities that support the organization’s growth over the next several years. This leader will serve as an influential partner to executive and business leaders while building the capabilities, systems, and team needed to support the organization’s future.
What You’ll Lead
- Develop and own the long-term marketing vision and roadmap, aligning marketing priorities with broader business and growth objectives
- Anticipate how evolving customer expectations, technology, market dynamics, and business priorities should shape future marketing strategy
- Translate long-term vision into disciplined execution, with clear initiatives, ownership, timelines, and measurable outcomes
- Strengthen brand positioning, customer engagement, demand generation, and overall market presence
- Translate customer, market, competitive, and industry insights into actionable strategic priorities
- Partner closely with executive, sales, operational, and business-unit leaders to identify opportunities for growth
- Identify opportunities to modernize and evolve the marketing function, including capabilities, technology, automation, processes, and team structure
- Lead and develop the marketing organization, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and measurable outcomes
- Advance the organization’s use of marketing automation, technology, data, and analytics to improve efficiency, customer engagement, and marketing effectiveness
- Bring a strong project management mindset to complex, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring strategy consistently translates into execution
- Serve as an active member of the executive leadership team, contributing to broader organizational strategy and priorities beyond the traditional boundaries of marketing
What We’re Looking For
- Proven senior-level marketing leadership experience within a complex, multi-division, B2B, or similarly sophisticated organization
- A visionary but execution-oriented leadership style, with demonstrated ability to think several years ahead while building the roadmap, team, systems, and accountability required to bring that vision to life
- Strong commercial and business acumen with the ability to connect marketing priorities to revenue, customer engagement, and long-term growth
- Demonstrated ability to develop enterprise-level strategy while ensuring strong execution through a high-performing team
- Experience with marketing automation platforms, systems, and strategy
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, customer insights, analytics, brand strategy, and demand generation
- Ability to influence and build alignment across executive leadership, sales, operations, and multiple business units
- Experience leading, developing, and evolving marketing teams and capabilities
- A project management background or strong project management mindset is advantageous, particularly in environments with multiple stakeholders and concurrent strategic initiatives
- Executive presence, sound judgment, curiosity, and the ability to operate effectively at both the enterprise and functional level
