This role blends strategic planning with tactical execution, requiring deep technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, and architectural leadership. The internal leveling will be Senior Consultant or Principal.

For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary pay range for Senior Consultant in Charlotte, NC is $110,000 to $171,000 and Principal base salary range is $122,000 to $189,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.

What You Will Do
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective data solutions using AWS services.
- Lead customer engagements to understand business needs and translate them into actionable technical designs and implementations.
- Provide hands-on development and prototyping using AWS-native tools and services.
- Guide and mentor technical teams, ensuring alignment with best practices and architectural standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including enterprise architecture, cloud architecture, platform engineering, application development teams, information security (infosec), and release management to ensure solution delivery.
- Configure and support shared platform services to enable consistent, scalable capabilities across domains.
- Develop and promote reusable implementation patterns for adoption by development teams to accelerate delivery and ensure architectural consistency.
- Expertise in AWS data and integration services including:
- Athena, Glue, Lake Formation, Lambda, S3, SageMaker Unified Studio, Airflow, , API Gateway, SNS, SQS, VPC, IAM
- DataZone, Bedrock is a plus
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and pipeline optimization.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and serverless design patterns
- Familiarity with Snowflake and PostgreSQL for querying and integration purposes.
- Experience with data catalogs and data lineage tools and practices to support governance and traceability.
- 8 years of cloud architecture experience, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Proven ability to lead technical engagements and drive customer success.
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services and integration tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries is a plus.
- Minimum certification requirement:
- AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Data Engineer – Associate
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark.
- Experience with GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence for source control, issue tracking, and documentation.
- Understanding of security and compliance frameworks relevant to financial services.
