We are currently seeking an Experienced Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team in Kalona, Iowa. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience applying industrial coatings using spray equipment in a manufacturing or production environment. Position Summary
As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces, applying industrial coatings, and ensuring all finished products meet internal standards for quality and durability. This role requires attention to detail, safe work practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and wiping materials to ensure proper coating adhesion.
- Apply industrial paints and protective coatings using spray guns and pressure pot systems within a paint booth environment.
- Select, mix, and prepare paints according to product specifications and quality standards.
- Set up, operate, clean, and maintain painting equipment.
- Inspect finished products for coating consistency, coverage, and quality, making corrections as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet quality and production goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of industrial or manufacturing paint spraying experience preferred.
- Experience applying industrial coatings using spray equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
