This is an engineering-led role, not a traditional project management position. The individual will serve as a technical leader responsible for driving projects from concept through execution in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of capital projects including equipment installation, facility upgrades, and infrastructure improvements
- Act as a technical decision-maker, ensuring systems and equipment are properly scoped, selected, and implemented
- Partner with contractors, vendors, and engineering firms to drive project execution
- Translate conceptual layouts into practical, executable solutions
- Define capacity, material flow, and operational requirements with internal stakeholders
- Support equipment sourcing, vendor selection, and procurement decisions
- Coordinate installation, integration, and startup activities within an active production environment
- Support validation and change control processes as needed
- Manage project scope, timelines, and risks while ensuring successful delivery
- Communicate progress, risks, and key decisions to leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related)
- 7 years of experience supporting capital projects within a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical foundation with ability to make engineering decisions
- Experience working with external contractors, OEMs, and engineering partners
- Exposure to regulated environments (GMP, food, pharma, or similar) is preferred
- Ability to operate in a hands-on, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities We are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including:
