We are partnering with a profitable, privately backed manufacturing company in the Milwaukee area to hire a Controller to lead plant-level finance and accounting operations.

This is a critical newly created position due to the growth at this site. The business is stable, well-established, and entering a phase that requires stronger financial ownership, tighter reporting cadence, and closer partnership between finance and operations.

This role will serve as the senior financial leader onsite, owning the numbers and acting as a true business partner to plant leadership and corporate finance.

Compensation & Work Model

• Base salary up to $140K
• Bonus potential up to 15%
• Onsite preferred to start, ability to go hybrid after initial training period

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting
• Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow)
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory, and margin analysis
• Manage AP and AR staff and overall accounting operations
• Maintain GAAP compliance and internal controls
• Partner with operations leaders to translate financial data into action
• Act as the primary support for audits
  
  

Desired Skills And Experience

• 5 years of accounting/finance experience (manufacturing experience needed)
• Strong cost accounting and inventory expertise
• Hands-on, proactive leadership style
• CPA or CMA preferred, not required
