My longtime PE Backed client in the financial services space is hiring for a talented Senior Database Developer (growth position) to help own and evolve the database layer of a large, multi-tenant SaaS platform. This is not a DBA or analytics role, it’s a senior engineering position embedded within product engineering.

Responsibilities

• Be the technical steward for shared SQL Server platform * Guide teams on data modeling, schema design, and query performance * Proactively monitor and improve production performance (Datadog) * Partner with engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and pair programming * Own database deployment processes and mentor teams on best practices
  
  

Desired Skills And Experience

• 8 years of professional experience *BS / BA in Computer Eng / Computer Science / Mathematics / MIS / STEM or equivalent experience in lieu of degree * Deep SQL Server / T-SQL expertise * Senior-level engineering experience (10 years preferred) * Strong product and platform mindset (SaaS / multi-tenant experience a plus) * Comfortable mentoring and influencing across multiple teams * AWS experience helpful (Azure background OK)
