Responsibilities
- Lead supplier qualification activities, including inspections, audits, and capability assessments for new and existing suppliers.
- Partner with suppliers to develop and maintain supplier quality plans based on data analysis, performance trends, and risk assessments.
- Conduct and facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) for supplier nonconformances and oversee implementation of effective corrective and preventative action plans (CAPA).
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet company and customer requirements.
- Support supplier-related problem solving and act as the technical liaison between suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.
- Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping of supplier audits, corrective actions, and quality plans within company systems.
- Utilize MRP/ERP systems to analyze material quality issues, track supplier performance, and support production planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supplier quality engineering within a fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier inspections, qualifications, and audits.
- Strong background in root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and supplier quality improvement initiatives.
- Experience in developing and implementing supplier quality plans through data-driven analysis.
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems for supplier and material management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both suppliers and internal teams.
