SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in Minneapolis who’s looking for a Director of Product Management & Strategy for their team! Our client is a small travel experience agency that’s been successfully operating for over 50 years. The Director of Product Management & Strategy will lead the strategy, development, & performance of the company’s travel portfolio (mainly cruise & land-based itineraries). This position will manage key supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, oversee product pricing & margins, development of new products, and collaborate closely with marketing & executive leadership to bring new travel experiences to market. The ideal candidate will have around 10 years of experience in the travel industry, experience managing or developing travel products, and strong analytical & contract negotiation skills. Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, & secure partnerships with cruise lines, hotels, destination operators, and other travel vendors.
- Develop pricing strategies and oversee program financial performance to ensure strong profitability & revenue growth.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with travel suppliers while ensuring service quality & operational reliability.
- Analyze program performance data & traveler feedback to refine itineraries, improve offerings, and guide future product development.
- Drive the planning & launch of new travel programs by evaluating market demand, traveler preferences, & emerging industry trends.
- Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, sales, & operations to bring travel programs to market.
- Provide leadership, direction, & support to a small team within the product function.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Tourism Management, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in the travel industry working in product management or development role (s) or related positions.
- Strong analytical skills including pricing strategy, financial modeling, and margin management.
- Proven experience with supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
