JOB SUMMARY:

The Digital Lending Specialist is responsible for delivering a seamless lending experience by processing and supporting consumer loan products, including auto loans, personal loans, and credit card applications. This role focuses on identifying customer needs, recommending appropriate lending solutions, and providing exceptional service throughout the application process.

The position offers a competitive starting wage of $22.50 per hour with an uncapped bonus and commission structure, providing significant earning potential for high-performing team members.

Responsibilities include reviewing loan applications, verifying documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and maintaining accurate loan records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, sales-focused, and committed to providing a high level of service while supporting responsible lending practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cross-Selling Additional Products: Proactively assess borrowers' needs and financial profiles to identify opportunities to cross-sell products such as GAP insurance, extended warranties, Life/Disability insurance, and other lending products. Demonstrate a strong understanding of how these products align with the borrower’s financial goals and provide value.

Loan Servicing: Process automatic payment authorizations, loan modifications, and payment deferments in accordance with established policies and procedures. Respond to and resolve loan-related inquiries from members, providing accurate information and timely support to ensure a positive member experience.

Collecting Supporting Documentation: Collect and verify necessary documents from applicants, including proof of income, identification, credit reports, and other financial information, ensuring compliance with internal policies, lending regulations, and industry best practices.

Ensuring Lending Compliance: Ensure that all loan applications comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including consumer protection laws, lending guidelines, and internal policies. Maintain an acute focus on compliance with lien security and all other lending regulations.

Entering Data into Loan Systems: Accurately input borrower information into loan processing systems, ensuring that loan records are updated and well-organized.

Maintaining Lien Security: Ensure that lien positions are properly established and maintained, with a strong focus on protecting the credit union’s interests and ensuring compliance with collateral security regulations.

Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver high levels of customer service by assisting borrowers with inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring a smooth loan process. Ensure that all borrower interactions are positive and professional, reinforcing the credit union’s commitment to service excellence.

Other Duties as Assigned: Perform all other duties as assigned from management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or some college coursework preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on loans and cross-selling financial products.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to credit unions and consumer lending.
  • Strong understanding of lien security and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication, sales, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities.
  • High level of integrity, ethical standards, and attention to detail.

Pay: From $22.50 per hour
