- Lead and manage the nursing department to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.
- Hire, train, and retain qualified nursing staff in accordance with staffing guidelines.
- Maintain clinical policies and procedures that align with corporate and DOH standards.
- Oversee staff competencies, performance evaluations, and continuing education.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive optimal patient outcomes.
- Handle grievances, promote resident rights, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
- Monitor and manage the department’s budget and resource utilization.
- Active CT RN license, in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
- Knowledge of DPH regulations, CMS standards, infection control, risk management, and QA/QI initiatives.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
