Skyview Rehab and Nursing is seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team. The DON will oversee the nursing department, ensuring delivery of high-quality care, staff management, regulatory compliance, and a commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the nursing department to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.
Hire, train, and retain qualified nursing staff in accordance with staffing guidelines.
Maintain clinical policies and procedures that align with corporate and DOH standards.
Oversee staff competencies, performance evaluations, and continuing education.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive optimal patient outcomes.
Handle grievances, promote resident rights, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
Monitor and manage the department’s budget and resource utilization.
Qualifications:
Active CT RN license, in good standing
Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
Knowledge of DPH regulations, CMS standards, infection control, risk management, and QA/QI initiatives.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
